Once again Garage 416 delivers the goods on underground-funky-soulful house bringing back to Toronto Neil Aline of Chez Music. He rocked Garage 416 in August 2000- join us as he tears it up again with Toronto's own Jason Palma (Higher Ground 89.5fm), Blueprint (Jason Klaps, Mike K. & Alan Lo), Mike Sitchon (JMK) and the Garage 416 premier of Alvaro G. (WFP, D4C), John Kumahara (Up Roc), and Moreno (Level 101).

Few do more for New York City's nightlife week in and week out than Neil Aline. Born in Tahiti, Aline was raised in Paris and is now based in NYC. As a DJ, his sets span everything from deep house to vocals, disco tracks and deep tribal excursions, all impeccably mixed. He hones his skills at his successful weekly School (alongside co-residents Matthias Heilbronn and Melvin Moore). Aline also works as the American liaison for Parisian promoters Respect Is Burning, organizing tours across the country.

It's been a little more than two years since Chez Music was introduced to the world at the 1999 Winter Music Conference, but the small label from New York has made a lot of noise in the dance music community. Earning
praise from critics and DJs worldwide, Chez Music has built a solid reputation for fresh music, killer parties and a contagious, positive vibe. Whether on wax, a flyer or a T-shirt, the Chez logo means good times and great tunes.

Inspired first by the diverse musical sounds in New York, Neil Aline founded Chez to expose talented artists from around the world. It is in this global city's nightclubs where sounds from all over the world come together. Chez mixes this international perspective and innovation with a touch of New York City's soul.

Chez's discography and roster reads like a passport. There's straight-up New York-styled house from originator DJ Pierre, Jason Jinx and Joeski. There's the raw Baltimore funk of the Basement Boys' DJ Spen. Martin Solveig and Alan Braxe represent the French groove, while German-turned-New Yorker Matthias Heilbronn adds his production talent to three Chez remixes. Check out the latest hot, hot, hot release on Chez Music: "It's Yours" by Jon Cutler feat. E-Man!

But good records are nothing without a packed dancefloor to appreciate them, and Chez Music is always throwing a good party. Neil Aline has a Saturday residency at Pinky inside Centro-Fly and ventures monthly to Chicago's Smart Bar to spread the Chez sound. Overseas, Aline has organized and played at Chez soirees in France, Switzerland, Denmark and Latin America.

Don't miss Neil as he tears up Garage 416 again!
